Sharding my Online Identity

As I look for work, please support me with a donation to the project development I'm spending in the Atmosphere — donate here

I decided to make a separate ATProto account on Blacksky that I'm not necessarily hiding that holds more of my day-to-day posting. Since I'm not actively employed (but am working), I have more time on my hands to be online. But I don't plan to make it the bulk of my time. I'm still looking into getting Livtet into a working place such that I can write more about what's available with it and flesh out its companion ATProto service, Bibliograph. In an ideal situation, I'm working on getting cacos as a hosted provider of accounts for those who want sharded identities like how I'm proposing and using it as a proof of concept for "headless OAuth" - more on that in a later blog post.

I slightly loathe that in order to remain with a professional identity online, the best option is to have separate accounts. I'll eventually delete the announcement post I made - to help folks know that it's actually me but my subdomain should be enough for verification for most. We'll see how this little experiment goes.
