Weeknotes for 9/30/2024

It's been a bit! I haven't made an update here in two weeks. I've been busy with a few projects, all fortunately paid, and now that I've reached my goal for October, I can breathe a lot easier. Recently, I've finished a few books like Surviving the Future and 24/7. Both of these books were heavy both in their perspectives of the operating natures of society and I'm eager to pull out my notes.

This update is going to be short because there's stuff I have coming down the pipeline but:

• I most likely (like 90%) will be starting a full-time role before the end of October! This was something that was eating at my brain for months and I'm super appreciative of everyone who's helped me out with everything since then. October will be my last stretch before getting that sense of security back.
• On top of this new role, I'm working on bringing back my consultancy. It's going to be my "legal" way to making and selling things without having to use my literal name and address (among other things) and I'm eager to share both the site, the project roadmap and the folks I'll be working with.
• The site has a bit of a face-lift! I'm slowly working on my moving away from 11ty. Not because of any issues with the framework; there's features and logic I need that I can't immediately get from a static site and I decided to double down on working on something in the public for that. Some of the styling changes will be in response to that!
